If you are ever in a situation at the ATM where the mugger is telling you to put your card in and give him your money, reverse the PIN number! A simple trick, but effective. Why? The system will recognize this as your valid card, but because you have reversed the PIN, the system actually dials 9-1-1 for you and dispatches cops to your location. This was broadcast on CTV and is valid in Canada, not sure if it works the same in the US. It has been verified with Scotiabank, RBC, TDCT and Meridian CU. (I asked friends to call their banks as well to verify). Not job related, but certainly helpful!
