Magazine Writers are having a hard time adapting to MultiMedia

(Personal note: I was at an ebook conference earlier this year, this is one magazines way of going digital:
1) create the document in Word
2) Print the document
3) Scan the Printed Document as a PDF
4) Publish the PDF's as articles on the website

Anybody else see the problem?)
